Each year near the end of September a cool, crisp breeze stirs the local Aspen trees to begin their transformation in preparation for another long winter. The hillsides and valleys change from green to gold sometimes overnight it seems. This annual exchange of colors invites adjectives like spectacular, amazing, incredible and unbelievable. It's one of the reasons the Crested Butte area is world renown for its displays of fall colors. Photographers from the world over travel here for what often is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Local professional landscape photographers Dusty Demerson and J. C. Leacock have teamed up to bring you their many years of experience and local knowledge through their Colorado Fall Color Photo Workshop.
